Before this weekend's Vore's Welding Short Track U.S. Nationals: The Last Lap presented by Owosso Speedway, let's look back at the inaugural running of the event at Bristol Motor Speedway and a wild crash in 2017.

Stephen Klinect was hit several times after a spin exiting turn four, catching air on the last hit. Klinect was able to exit his car under his own power, and was OK after a visit to the infield care center. Ride along with Klinect's modified during the crash from the 2017 Short Track U.S. Nationals.

Klinect will once again make the trip from Ohio to compete in this year's Short Track U.S. Nationals at Bristol. He is part of the 62-car field for the Midwest Modifieds Tour powered by Wheeler Trucking.

The Midwest Modifieds Tour will be joined by the Vores Compact Touring Series powered by Mercer County Electric and the CRA Street Stock Series powered by JEGS. Fans unable to attend the event at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, April 6 can watch live on RacingAmerica.TV.
