Gavin Graham may be just 13 years old. However, he is currently on a seven-race winning streak in Pro Truck competition throughout Florida, Georgia and Alabama with a chassis seven years older than him.

Graham has won seven consecutive races at four different tracks in three states in the 2021 season, enjoying a successful run thus far.

“So far, we have seven wins in a row,” Graham told Speed51. “We have two at Pensacola, two at Mobile, two at Crisp Motorsports Park and one at Montgomery Motor Speedway. We’ve just had an incredible season with Curt Britt Motorsports and I can’t thank them enough.”

Graham is driving for the same team that won a pair of track championships in 2020 with Grant Thompson behind the wheel in Pro Trucks, as well as the Pro Truck feature at the 2020 Snowball Derby, where Graham finished third after setting fast time in qualifying. However, Graham is not using the same chassis Thompson took to his successes, instead piloting the same 20-year-old chassis Graham was using in 2019.

“This is the truck I drove at the Snowball Derby. The 20-year-old chassis fits my driving style better than the other truck. I know that Curt Britt has been good friends with the chassis builder, and he can make them work better than anyone else.”

Along with a great team, Graham attributes being able to manage tires over the course of a race for his success in 2021.

“You’ve just got to have a good driver and a good crew chief, someone that works together on the car very well. You have to manage the tires, keep them good and heated up but not so much that they fall off later in the race.”

Graham’s rise up the racing ladder started in karting, eventually competing in some of the biggest karting events in the country with Hermie Sadler Motorsports. He is also an accomplished INEX Legends racer, capturing the 2021 Winter Nationals championship.

“I first started running dirt go-karts when I was seven. I started racing with Jason Kimball, who is now one of my Pro Truck competitors at Five Flags Speedway. We moved up the ranks, got a lot of wins and championships with Hermie Sadler Motorsports. We got our first win in the Trucks at 4-17 Southern Speedway.”

Graham plans to test a Pro Late Model later in the 2021 season, continuing to broaden his racing resume.

“Later this year, we’re going to be testing a Pro Late Model. We’re also going to be running some road course races and maybe we can get back to our roots in kart racing later this year.”

The Pro Trucks return to action at Five Flags Speedway Friday, June 25 as part of a racing card which will also include Outlaws, Sportsman and Pure Stocks. Fans unable to attend the event can watch live on Speed51.TV by clicking here.
